Rostselmash plans to supply up to 100 units of agricultural machinery to China annually, the company's first deputy general director Alexey Shveytsov said in an interview with RBC TV Yug
“At the first stage, from 20, and then up to 100 machines per year,” he noted, specifying that the agricultural machinery is planned to be used primarily for harvesting corn.
Rostselmash began supplying agricultural machinery to the neighboring state four years ago, but it was forage harvesting equipment in small quantities.
"In terms of land area, farms in China are mostly small - up to 1 hectare, for us we need 200-300 hectares. Such farms exist in the north of the country, and we have found a partner who is ready to supply our equipment," says Alexey Shveitsov.
According to him, over the next year, agricultural machinery will be brought up to environmental standards established in China, during which time the dealer will be able to organize technological capabilities for its large-scale use.

Alexey Shveytsov considers African countries to be another promising market for expanding exports.
"The markets there are relatively small, but the technological capabilities of our machines satisfy our customers. Financing is needed. We understand that logistics are expensive, and the creation of dealership centers is also not cheap, so now, with the participation of the Russian government, we are determining the possibilities for additional financing," explains a representative of Rostselmash.
He names the rice cultivation project in the Republic of Ghana as one of the company’s important projects on the African continent.
“The technology that is currently being implemented in the Krasnodar region, with the participation of colleagues and science, we are transferring to the territory of the African state with the help of Rostselmash agricultural machinery,” said Alexey Shveitsov.
As reported by RBC Rostov, Rostselmash reduced the number of countries of its presence from 45 to 31 in 2024, but was able to increase exports by 11% in the first four months compared to the same period last year.
